Audio Monthly Review
I do believe I’ve found a gold mine.
For several years, I have earned a good income by selling e-books. But during the past 12 months, I’ve been noticing that the market is weakening.
It occurred to me one day that one of the reasons for this decline was probably because people are reading less but listening more. This is pretty obvious when you pay attention to the number of people walking around with ear phones. And I’m not talking about just teens. It seems as though no age is immune to the listening craze.
I did some research and found that the most popular audio product, besides music, is self-help and motivational books. The list of such products is exploding on a daily basis which indicated to me an extremely strong and growing market.
But I immediately ran up against a wall. The cost of converting a printed book to audio is enormous. Something in the range of $5000 to $10,000. That just wasn’t in my budget.
I had about given up on the idea of entering the audio market when I discovered Audiomonthly.com. It was the perfect answer.
Audiomonthly.com is a membership club. For less than $50 a month, I receive two audio selections every 30 days. These are generally books in the field of motivation and self-improvement. That immediately opened the Internet audio market to me.
What really impresses me about Audiomonthly.com is the quality of their recordings.
They always employ top notch voice-over professionals.
I also appreciate the range of subjects covered.
For example, one of the selections for the month might be a forgotten but excellent classic on how to live more successfully. Or it could be a recent book on learning a new skill such as speed reading. Whatever the subject, Audiomonthly.com always seems to come up with material that hits the hot button of a lot of people.
And here is something else I really like. With each selection comes a professionally written sales letter. This enables me to have the selections selling on my web site within minutes after I receive them.
The only thing I took exception to, at least in the beginning, was being limited to just two selections a month. I wanted more. But I now recognize that if I concentrate my marketing efforts on promoting these two selections, they will generate an excellent income and keep me more than busy.
Recently, I learned that Audiomonthly.com is now offering a full membership for a week for only $1.00. At first, this didn’t sound like much. But then I realized that for this one dollar, someone could download and immediately begin selling the current selections. Wow...what a bargain.
Of course, I understand their reasoning. When someone hears the quality of Audiomonthly.com recordings and recognizes the income potential, they will convert that dollar membership into a regular membership. And I would highly recommend doing so.
